These vintage Abloy Classic key blanks were struck with too much force, struck too many times, and/or struck significantly off center, resulting in unusual, flattened keys with deep cavities on the backside. Each one is unique and they'll will be sent out randomly unless you have a specific you'd like.

Interestingly, these factory errors do not seem to have effected the stem of the key very much, so it may be possible to have these cut and use them, though I wouldn't recommend it! If you do it anyway, please send me pictures, I'm super curious to know if it'd work.

Picture 1: The front and back of a blank. The Abloy logo is faintly visible and the entire bow is flattened. Branding is off-center and moved down towards the tip of the key (the amount varies significantly from key to key). The reverse is also noticeable flattened and has a characteristic deep indent on the bow. This indent likely comes from an off-center attempt to punch out the key ring hole.

Pictures 2 & 3: The bow up close. Notice how parts of the metal have been folded over onto the face and how the extreme angles of the indent have caused a tear.

Pictures 4 & 5: The front and back of a group of error keys, to give an idea of the variation in errors. Some are noticeably gnarlier and have their branding moved wayyyyy off center.

Pictures 6 & 7: Comparison to a normal, cut key of the same era. Here it's easy to see how much larger the key ring hole is supposed to be and how off center some of the strikes really were. Again, it's interesting that the stem seems almost completely unaffected.

Truly a bizarre collectors item, even for die-hard Abloy fans!
